A truly special event from our anniversary season – an evening dedicated to the beauty and emotion of French music. The concert celebrates the 20th anniversary season of the AGBU Sofia Chamber Orchestra and 120 years since the establishment of AGBU. The concert “La Vie en Rose” is a journey through some of the most beloved French chansons, performed with elegance and feeling. On stage: conductor Levon Manukyan, together with soloist Hakob Ghasabian.

Early Years and Musical Development
Hakob was born in Lille into a family with Armenian roots. He began his musical education at a young age—first studying violin, and later developing an interest in piano and singing. While still in school, he participated in opera productions and frequently performed on stage with classical music.
Breakthrough in the Media
* 2015 — Hakob became widely known in France after winning first prize in the “Singing” category on the television competition Prodiges on France 2, performing an aria from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro with a national orchestra.
* 2020 — He took part in The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix (the French version of The Voice), where he reached the “K.O.” stage as part of coach Pascal Obispo’s team.
Theatre and Musical Career
Following The Voice, his career continued with roles in major musical productions:
* 2021 — He played the role of “Nicolas” in the musical Je vais t’aimer, based on songs by Michel Sardou, and toured across major venues (Zénith) throughout France.
* 2023 — He performed the role of Romeo in the world-renowned musical Roméo et Juliette during a tour in China, performing in front of approximately 150,000 people.
* 2024 — He continues to take part in Zénith tours and other musical projects, including collaborations with Starmusical.
Other Performances and Creative Projects
In addition to his stage work, Hakob writes and composes his own music and is preparing a solo musical project for upcoming release.
Social Initiatives
Hakob has also participated in charity concerts and causes, supporting various social initiatives and events in France and abroad.
Summary
Hakob Gasparyan is a French singer and musician of Armenian descent, born on June 24, 2003, in Lille, France. He gained recognition in 2015 after winning the competition Prodiges on France 2 with an impressive operatic performance. He later participated in The Voice France (2020).
Hakob has built a successful career in musical theatre, performing in major productions such as Je vais t’aimer and Roméo et Juliette, including international tours. Alongside his stage appearances, he is also working on his own original music projects.
