Over the decades, AGBU has launched an array of cultural initiatives that connect Armenians in every generation across the world. We also encourage rising talents to explore their potentials, and we partner with world-class institutions to share our gifts with global audiences.
To raise the profile of the rich Armenian culture among broader audiences, we collaborate locally and globally with world class institutions that value the Armenian contribution to civilization—from ancient and traditional to contemporary and experimental. We have also launched a creative accelerator program to showcase Armenian culture to the world and to improve infrastructure for artistic entrepreneurship in Armenia.
We are committed to supporting the initiatives of Armenian institutions that guide our culture forward, such as the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Matenadaran, the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Artsakh Chamber Orchestra. Recognizing these institutions as the custodians of much of our shared cultural inheritance, we provide funding and administrative support to sustain their various endeavors.
The AGBU Arts Department creates valuable opportunities for rising Armenian talents to enhance their professional credentials—whether performing on renowned stages, pursuing mentorships through Creative Armenia-AGBU Fellowships, participating in the Musical Armenia Program (MAP), competing in the Sayat Nova International Composition Competition or receiving AGBU Performing Arts Scholarships.
AGBU emphasizes positive identity formation starting early in life. We offer our youth diverse experiences to forge lifelong bonds, share favorite hobbies and pastimes, discover their ancestral roots and feel a sense of belonging to a rich and unique culture.
